Wilma Jean Oldfield

Wilma Jean Oldfield was born March 1, 1934 in Downey, CA.  On December 3 2023, Wilma passed away peacefully at her Sierra Vista home.  Her son Bill and daughter-in-law Karen were at her side when she left to meet her Savior in Heaven.  She was 89 years old.

Wilma grew up in San Bernardino, CA with her parents Herman and Allie Allen.  At age 20, Wilma’s husband William T. Guinn died, leaving her a widow and single mother of William (Billy) A. Guinn.  Later, Wilma married Calvert T. Oldfield and had two sons, Rickey Lee Oldfield and Steven Alan Oldfield.  After a divorce, Wilma married Bob Claunch and gave birth to her only daughter Terri Lynn.  A car crash claimed 36 year old Terri’s life in 2000.  In 1982, again single, Wilma and Calvert met by chance and decided to remarry.  23 years later, Calvert died in 2005.  Wilma remained a widow for the rest of her life.  In total, Wilma had 4 children, 18 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.  They were the love of her life. 

Wilma was a business woman, owning a Winchell’s Donut Shop for more than 20 years.  A perfect fit for someone who’s fondest memories included baking with her Grandmother.

 Services for Wilma will be held at 10 am on December 9, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Sierra Vista, 1447 S 7th St, Sierra Vista, AZ where Wilma Oldfield was a devoted and beloved member.
