William Axelson Obituary

William "Billy" Arne Axelson, 59, of Hereford, Arizona passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Sea Isle City, NJ, Bill ran the family business, the "Captains Cove" in Cape May, NJ, from 1984 to 2005. Although semi-retired, he later worked locally as a cook for Papas 50s Diner, he was known for the best burgers and french toast, and crazy cook pants and Eagles hat.

Surviving are his wife, Jeanne (nee Schweizer), daughter Lilly Gaskill (Kenneth), grandkids Kaden, Kianna, and Kole, stepson Colin R Hansen (Jo Dee), and grandkids Alex and Tori.

Services and burial will be private.
