Vincent James Granata

Vincent James Granata, age 54, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on June 5, 2026.

Born and raised in Arizona, Vincent—known affectionately as Jim—was a man whose quiet strength, curiosity, and love for the outdoors shaped the way he lived and the people he cherished.

Jim proudly served in the United States Air Force in support of Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. His service reflected the same dedication, bravery, and humility that he carried throughout his life.

In his spare time, Jim found peace and joy in the outdoors. He loved hiking, exploring, and camping, and he developed a passion for forging knives—a craft that allowed him to blend creativity with skill and patience.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Granata, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Chang; his children, Makena and Kaleb; and his sisters Hwa Won (Kwang), Lynn (Robert), Dawn (Jason). He also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews: Christopher Kim, Jessica Koo, and Myracle Wright.

Jim’s life will be honored on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Hatfield Funeral Home, 830 AZ-92, Sierra Vista, Arizona, at 10:00 AM. A Military Honors ceremony will follow at the Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1300 South Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, at 12:00 PM.
