Ursula Yatskievych Obituary

Ursula Elisabeth Yatskievych
June 3, 1936 - March 4, 2025

Ursula Yatskievych, a 53-year resident of Sierra Vista, passed away on Tuesday March 4, 2025. She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend and approached life with great resourcefulness, dignity, and independence. She believed that the value of life lies in the closeness of family and friends and everyone around her could feel her quiet strength and generosity and draw from it.

Ursula had many interests, including travel, gardening, hiking, and reading and enjoyed her 47 years as a member and officer in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Her friends will remember her for her quick wit, her voracious appetite for learning, and her expansive knowledge.

She was preceded in death and now joins her husband Yaromyr, and will live on in the hearts and memories of sons, George (Kay) of Austin, TX, and Markus of Tempe, AZ, as well as her daughter Tatiana of Tucson, AZ, and the many friends she leaves behind.

"Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal."

A memorial service will be held at Hatfield Funeral Home in Sierra Vista on Tuesday, March 18, at 10:00 a.m. A private interment will follow later that afternoon at the Fort Huachuca Cemetery.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Ursula be made to the Good Neighbor Alliance of Sierra Vista.
