Ursula celebrated her 93rd birthday with joy and laughter surrounded by family, a month later she peacefully left this world.
Our beloved Matriarch will be deeply missed. Ursula was born and raised in Berlin, Germany. At the young age of nineteen she met the love of her life SFC. Maynard Ray Crane on the dance floor, a passion they shared throughout their marriage. Army life took them all over the United States and back to Germany. In 1967 they settled in Sierra Vista, Arizona to be near her sister who lived in Bisbee.
A devoted stay-at-home mom now decided to join the workforce. She worked at Bella Vista Motel, Circle K, Sears, Jim R. Smith Cable Company, Just Rite Janitorial, Kennedy Kleaning and Amway making lifelong friends at each job. Her friendly and selfless nature was hard to resist. She made time to attend ball games, swim meets, bowling and golf tournaments or horseback activities. Eager to host dinner and dance parties, family birthdays and Holiday gatherings Ursula and Ray welcomed all into their home with a big smile and a warm meal.
She was affectionately known as Mom or Ma Crane to her children's friends. Upon retiring she devoted her time and energy to help raise and spend quality time with her grandkids, nurturing their many interests. Her family was her heart.
To know her was to love her Ursula was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four siblings, son-in-law Martin Figueroa, stepdaughter Pamela Lee and son Ray A. Crane. She is survived by her brother Werner Liehr of Berlin, son Glenn (Helen) Crane, daughters Angelika Figueroa, JoAnn (Ivan) Lawson and daughter-in-law Linda Quast Crane. Grandchildren John (Sheila), David, Michael (Bree), Alex (Nonko), Levi, Mat, April (Nate), Sean (Marcy), Melisa, Shane, Joshua (Alycia), Jeremy (Chelsea), Rob (Tasha), Alishea {James; and Danny (Julia), 23 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
