Teresa "Terry" Etta May Gherardini
November 27, 1946 ~ October 14, 2025
Teresa Etta May Gherardini, 78, of Sierra Vista, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family on October 14, 2025 in Sierra Vista, AZ.
She was born on November 27, 1946 to Warren and Betty (Moss) Wright in Fayetteville, NC. She attended Buena High School. Then received her associates degree at Green River College. Teresa worked as a bookkeeper for NLK Consultants. On March 17, 1980 she married Michael M. Gherardini in Tucson, AZ. To this union she brought two wonderful children, Samantha Santor and Robert Santor. Teresa and Michael returned to Sierra Vista, Arizona from Washington state in 2004.
Terry is known to all as a social butterfly and fun friend. On any given day you could find her cackling with friends on her patio, zooming the neighborhood in her golf cart or embarking on some far away adventure. She had a love for life and traveled the world with her beloved husband, Mike. Terry was incredibly generous and supported her family without fail. She leaves a legacy of strength, determination, resiliency, generosity and kindness.
Teresa is survived by her loving children, Robert Santor of Huachuca City, AZ and Samantha Santor of Kent, WA; grandchildren, Amanda Santor Vanderveen, Clayton Santor, Danica Santor, Zoe Wolcott and Xander Wolcott; great grandchildren Hunter Vanderveen and Finley Vanderveen; siblings Linda Brewington and Sherry Ortner; and furry companions Donny and Johnny.
She was preceded in death by husband, Michael Melford Gherardini; father, Warren Roe Wright; mother, Betty Lou Wright; and siblings, Donna Simpson and James May.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, 10:00 am at the Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, Arizona, with Pastor Tyler Henry, officiating from Casa De La Paz Hospice. Those who wish to attend services should arrive in the staging area at the cemetery by 9:30 am.
