Sylvia Gonzales Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Sylvia Gonzales, a wonderful and amazing, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this world on the 9th of February 2024.

Sylvia was born in Tucson Arizona’s first maternity ward, the historical Stork’s Nest on November 14th, 1944, and her life was a testament to love, kindness, and resilience.

Sylvia’s journey on this earth was marked by her unwavering compassion and dedication to her family and community. She was a beacon of warmth and generosity, always ready to offer a helping hand or comforting embrace to those in need. Sylvia’s boundless love and nurturing spirit touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Throughout her life, Sylvia cherished her role as a devoted wife to her husband Jack, and together they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. As a mother to her children David, Danny, and Dina, Sylvia instilled in them values of integrity, perseverance, and empathy, shaping them into the remarkable individuals they became as adults. Sylvia found immense joy in her role as a grandmother, doting on her grandchildren Danielle, Thea-Olivia, Raeleen, Kara, Josh, Jadin-MaKenzie, Shealin, and Jabez with endless love and affection. She valued every moment spent with them, creating lasting bonds and memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

In addition to her dedication to her family, Sylvia was an active member of her community, volunteering her time and talents to various activities in and around the Tombstone Unified School District. Her selflessness and commitment to making the world a better place left a lasting impact on all who crossed her path. Sylvia also enjoyed attending Catholic Mass, cooking, collecting pencils from around the world, giraffes, and the joy of reading.

Though Sylvia may no longer walk among us, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will continue to inspire and uplift us in the days ahead. Sylvia Gonzales leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be remembered by all. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
