On November 24, 2025, Susan Ziegler, age 77, passed away peacefully at home in Hereford AZ with her family by her side. Susan was born November 2, 1948, in Concord, New Hampshire, the daughter of the late Robert and Marguerite Williams of Concord, New Hampshire. 

Susan graduated in 1966 from Concord High School, Concord, New Hampshire and from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, in June 1973. Susan’s career focused on children having taught early education at Boston Public School and serving as the Children’s Librarian for the Littleton Massachusetts Public Library. 

Susan and her husband, Steven W Ziegler, retired to Sierra Vista, Arizona in 2004 and have enjoyed participating in community organizations over the past 20 years. As well as creating artwork for display and sale, Susan held management positions with the Huachuca Art Association. She also was involved with the Friends of the Library organization for several years, offering her knowledge as a librarian and as a manager to promote activities to benefit the community. She was an avid reader and enjoyed creating images working with gourds and quilling. She had discovered a talent for painting in recent years. 

Susan was pre-deceased by two brothers, Robert A Williams, Jr of Sierra Vista AZ in 2005, and Curtis A Williams of Auburn NH in 2014; and her sister, Karen W Engel of Sierra Vista AZ in 2017. 

Susan is survived by her husband and soulmate, Steven W Ziegler of Hereford AZ; her sons David P Ziegler and his wife Betheney of Clinton MA and Michael J Ziegler and his wife Amity of Derry NH; and her sister, Lynn Beckwith of Concord, NH. Susan leaves her grandchildren Jocelyn, Alyson, Caitlyn, Gavyn, Quiana, and Jaxon Ziegler as well as nieces and nephews. 

Services will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, family request that donation be made in Sue's honor to the Huachuca Art Association.
