Susan Dianne “Sue” Santor (née Fishback), 72, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025, in Sierra Vista, Arizona. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Susan’s life was a testament to kindness, faith, and unwavering love for her family.
Born on August 25, 1953, in Winslow, Arizona, Susan was the daughter of John and Melba Fishback. She graduated from Winslow High School in 1971, and moved to Sierra Vista, AZ. She soon began a career that would span decades with Wells Fargo Bank. Starting as a teller when it was still First National Bank, Susan worked diligently and rose through the ranks to retire in 2005 as an Assistant Manager. Her professionalism and dedication left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike.
A woman of deep faith and conviction, Susan was an active member of First Baptist Church where she found joy in fellowship and spiritual growth through Women’s Bible Study. Her belief in God guided every aspect of her life and gave her strength during both joyful moments and times of sorrow.
Susan had a creative spirit that shone brightly through her many hobbies. She found great joy in making beautiful quilts for friends and family—each one stitched with love and care. She also enjoyed crafting intricate Diamond Dot pictures and creating scrapbooks filled with treasured memories from special trips.
Those who knew Susan remember her as kind-hearted, generous beyond measure, endlessly patient, and selfless in all she did. She never spoke ill of anyone and carried herself with grace and compassion. Her radiant smile lit up every room she entered and brought comfort to those around her.
Susan is survived by her brothers, John Fishback and Charles (Mandy) Fishback and children: Robert (Katie) Santor of Huachuca City, Arizona; Shawna (Dave) Willis of Gilbert, Arizona; Samantha (Alvin Wolcott) Santor of Kent, Washington; and David Santor Jr. of Allen, Texas. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren—Amanda (Kenny) Vanderveen, J.D. Willis, Clayton Santor, Danica Santor, Zoe Wolcott, Carter Santor, and Xander Wolcott—and great-grandchildren Hunter and Finley Vanderveen.
She was preceded in death by her husband David Santor Sr., as well as her parents John and Melba Fishback.
Susan’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her legacy of love and kindness continue to inspire those she touched throughout her remarkable life.
A gathering for friends and family will be held on December 21, 2025, from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM at Hatfield Funeral Home 830 S Hwy 92.
