Susan Jo Jackson
January 12, 1956 - October 18, 2024

Susan Jo Jackson, 68, of Sierra Vista, passed away on  October 18, 2024 with loved ones by her side. 
  
She was born on January 12, 1956 to Edmund and Helen (Wyka) Matys in Utica, NY. She attended Utica Free Academy school and took art classes at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY for her own personal enjoyment. Susan worked to help manage the office of the family business, but her primary job was being a homemaker. She enjoyed the opportunity afforded to her to be able to be a hands-on mother to her three children, Teresa, Mathew, and Oscar. On June 30th 
1990 she married Oscar Jackson in Sierra Vista. Susan and Oscar lived in Sierra Vista for over 43 years.
  
She was a member of the VFW. If you knew Susan you knew she enjoyed playing poker with the boys.
  
Susan is survived by her two sons, Oscar Jackson (Korinna Williams) of Sierra Vista, AZ, Mathew La Sota (Chelsea) of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Teresa Heiser (Joe) of Sierra Vista, AZ; step daughter, Carmen Enochs (Will); sisters, Kathy Settle, Joanne Matys, and brothers Bobby Matys, Eddie Matys, and Danny Matys; grandchildren, Joey Heiser, Jaxson Enochs; John and Michael Williams; Audrey McQuiller. 
  
She was preceded in death by father, Edmund Matys; mother, Helen Matys; sister, Patty Cunningham, brother; Andy Matys; and her loving husband, Oscar Jackson.
