Susan Bason, 54, passed away on Friday, May 17 in Phoenix, Arizona. Susan was born in Seoul, South Korea and was adopted when she was five years old to Charles and Kiki Bason. Susan spent most of her childhood in Ft. Huachuca and Sierra Vista. As an adult, she lived in Tucson and Phoenix.
Susan lived life to the fullest and although she didn’t live the full long life that she should have, she didn’t quietly walk through the time that she had. She was like a force of nature. You definitely knew when she was in the room. She had an infectious laugh and a sharp sense of humor. She was a fierce protector of those that were close to her and was never shy about expressing her feelings.
We had hoped that she would get the chance to live for many more years and get back to doing the things she loved the most like hiking and playing with her dogs, but her body had a different plan.
Susan is survived by her mother, Kiki Bason, her sister, Nancy Bason, her brother-in-law, Bill Colman and her niece, Carolyn Colman and nephew, Andrew Colman. She will be missed by her family and friends.
