Richard Allen Powers, 74, of Hereford, AZ, passed away on April 20, 2023 peacefully at home.
Richard was born in Covington, KY to John Powers and Polly (Downey) Powers. Richard proudly served in the United States Army as an aircraft mechanic and attained the rank of SSG. Richard was a veteran of the Vietnam War and received numerous awards during his distinguished career including the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/ Palm. He had been a resident of Arizona for the past 48 years, retiring from the Army at Fort Huachuca in 1989. Richard was an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Instructor and retired in 2011.
Richard is survived by his children, Malcom (Tina) Powers of Phoenix, AZ, Perry (Ashley) Powers of Kalispell, MT, and Zandra Powers of Hereford, AZ.
