Charles (Chuck) J. Cunningham, 95, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, passed away on June 12, 2025.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on July 11th, 2025 in Southern Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Sierra Vista, Arizona. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Hatfield Funeral Home.
Chuck was born in Taplin, West Virginia on 8 October 1929 to Everett and Isabell McDonald Cunningham.
Chuck served in the United States Army in the Signal Corps for over 22 years, he retired as a Sergeant First Class from Fort Huachuca, AZ. Chuck was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, camp, and watch his grandchildren play softball. After retirement, he spent much of his time engaged in his favorite pastimes or discussing the finer points of those activities with his friends and relations. Chuck was a loyal member of the Order of the Moose, the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, and the American Legion, Post 52.
He is survived by his siblings Pauline Searles, Sharon Kay Newlun, and Buddy Cunningham, and his children, Dietmar (Chuck) [Yvette], Debra Ageton, Richard [Marilyn], Jon [Charlotte], and Charles S. (Chucky) [Guisel] Cunningham, as well as numerous grand children and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia, his parents and his siblings Purley, Jonathan, Sherman, Bob, Red, Arron, Audrey Adams, Margery Kinds, Aurthur, Everett, and Kathryn Cunningham .
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to preferred Veteran’s charities.
