Roberta "Bobbi" Angela (Gonzalez) Moots

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Roberta “Bobbi”  Moots, who left us on December 06, 2024, in Tucson, AZ. She was 66 years old. Bobbi was born on January 04, 1958, in Bisbee, Arizona, and touched the lives of everyone who knew her with kindness, love, and unwavering dedication to her family.

Bobbi leaves behind a legacy of love through her five children: Dominic “Nico” Moots, Shannon Moreno (Mauro), Nicole DeCastro (Andy), Estrella Romero, and Leticia Hamwright (Jay). She was a proud Nana to 13 grandchildren: Mauro Jr. (Nicole), Bricella, Miguel, Horacio “Ross,” Mari, Elena, Esme, Mila, Justin “JJ,” Ezekiel “Zek,” Davian, Kinsley, and Jaylen. Additionally, she carried the joy of being a great nana to three: Aziel, Avrian, and Emiliano.

She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Carolina Moots, her brothers, Danny Gonzalez (Judy) and David Gonzalez, and several nieces and nephews.

Bobbi is now reunited with her beloved husband, Dominic Moots, her father and mother, Reginaldo (Manny) and Theresa Gonzalez, and her sister, Gloria Gonzalez. 

Bobbi dedicated many years of her life to caring for children, first as a daycare provider and later as a Boys & Girls Club of Bisbee employee and a Head Start bus driver. She retired after years of service, impacting the children and families she cared for.

A rosary will be held on January 03, 2025, at 6:00 pm at St Patrick’s Church. In addition, a Celebration of Life,  will be held on January 04, 2025, at noon at the VFW located at 1326 W Hwy 92 Bisbee, AZ 85603. The Celebration of Life will be a potluck, and we invite everyone to bring a dish to share as we honor and remember our loved one.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to Leukemia research.
