Hereford- Robert I. Caprari, 81, of Hereford died peacefully at home on Sunday, October 29, 2023 while watching his favorite football team               .

Robert was the son of the late Olympio A. and Mildred J. (Oakes) Caprari and was born on May 13, 1942 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Robert was a 1961 graduate of Drury High School.

He joined the Air Force on February 9, 1961 prior to his graduation and served until February 7, 1969. Serving during the Vietnam War Robert attained the rank of Master Sergeant.

Robert has resided in Arizona for the past 43 years, in Tucson for 10 years, Sonita for 10 years and for the past 23 years in Hereford. He enjoyed horseback riding, working in his backyard, and his loyal companions and best buddies Brodie and Rambo.

He was a member of the Arizona Trail Association of Tucson, the VFW 9972 and the American Legion Post 52 both of Sierra Vista.

He is survived by his wife; Ann M. (Richard) Caprari; a son, Michael R. Caprari, a daughter, Michelle L. Caprari; and a brother, Lawrence Caprari.

Funeral services and Military Honors for Robert will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Hatfield Funeral Home, 830 South Highway 92, Sierra Vista. A visiting hour will proceed his service on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM.
