Raymond Russell Moskus, 85, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, passed away at home on May 4, 2024.
Ray was born in Chicago, IL, on July 18, 1938. He served in the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired with the rank of Master Sergeant in 1985. During his distinguished career, he received numerous awards which included, Bronze Star, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm. After his active duty retirement, he worked in civil service at USARCCO on Ft. Huachuca until his second retirement in 1998.
Ray married Alice Anderson on July 23, 1993, and they spent retirement traveling, enjoying their dogs, and working on various volunteer service projects together. Being from Chicago, Ray was an avid fan of the Cubs and Bears, but he grew to become a fan of the Diamondbacks and Cardinals. Recently, Premier League soccer was the sport he enjoyed.
Ray is survived by his wife, Alice Anderson; stepsons, Brian, Kent (Teri), stepdaughter-in-law, MaryAnne; and grandchildren Nicolas, Matthew (Kimberly), Patrick, Rebecca, and Joshua.

Committal services with Military Honors will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, located at 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, Arizona. Those who wish to attend services should join the family at the staging area no later than 10:30 AM.
