Phyllis Waldron Chartier
hyllis Waldron Chartier, 75 of Bisbee, Arizona went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 6th, 2023. Phyllis was born to Percy Waldron and Hazel Reeves Waldron on November 11th, 1947, in Morris County, Mount Arlington, New Jersey.
She married the love of her life Steven Chartier, a Naval Avionics Technician in Tennessee on June 28th, 1964, at the age of 16. They then moved to California where they began their family starting with twin boys in 1966. In 1967 they had a little girl. From there they were stationed in Japan where baby Steve was conceived. While on a mission Stevens plane was shot down, his body has yet to be found. Phyllis was then led by God to move to Bisbee, Arizona. She bought a home there where she raised her children and lived until she went home to be with the Lord. Although she never remarried, she was blessed with three more baby boys.
Phyllis worked as a Canner at a Chili Cannery in Elfrida, Arizona. After that she worked as Manager at a Thrift store in Bisbee. Her main joys in life were her children and grandchildren, they were her world, she loved having a full house. She was pleased to be a caretaker for many people throughout her life. Phyllis enjoyed reading her Bible and books about faith, healing, and religion. She was an avid prayer warrior. She enjoyed making jewelry with rocks that her and her kids would dig as well as making beaded jewelry.
Phyllis was preceded in her passing by her parents, four of her siblings, her son Gary Eveningred, and her granddaughter Andrea Eveningred. Those left to cherish her memory are her children Wayne/(Betty) Chartier, William/(Ingrid) Chartier, Steven/(Bonnie) Chartier, Kimberly/(Arthur) Chartier (Friend), Richard/(Jessica) Eveningred, and Joseph/(Nirvana) Eveningred. As well as her brother Albert, her sister Diane, 28 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren.
A service will be held for Phyllis at the First Baptist Church of Bisbee Located at 1173 West Highway 92, Bisbee, Arizona on December 9th, 2023 at 9:00 am. Followed by a celebration of life potluck. Her ashes will be taken to Safford to be laid to rest with her parents and son at a later date.
