Mary Shaw Obituary

Mary E. Shaw, daughter of Willie Aline Williams and Rogers Glass,
was born August 19, 1946 in Monroe, Louisiana. She departed this life
on October 3, 2023. She was married to Simuel Shaw Jr. just prior to
graduating High School on May 16, 1964 and remained married to him
until the day she departed this life.

Mary, known as “Mary Elizabeth” to her mother who preceded her in
death was the last member of her siblings to leave this earth now joining them in heavenly peace. In 1965, Mary gave birth to Simuel Shaw
III, traveling the world with her husband , as a miliary spouse; four
years later she gave birth to Charlotte Denise (Shaw) Fisher and shortly
thereafter, came her youngest son Michael Orlando Shaw.

Mary was a loving person who touched many on her path in this lifetime. She was no stranger when it came to extending a helping hand to
support family, the church, friends, or just someone in need. She loved
the lord and shared that love with all she met. Her service in the
church extended all throughout her life until she was no longer able to
attend. Throughout her time spent in Arizona she was a member of
Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church
and Kino Gospel Service where she was an active member of the
choir.

Mary was a member of the Masonic family where she served in three
masonic houses: Order of the Eastern Stars, Condon Chapter #12;
Missouri Nobles, Chapter #55 (Golden Circle) and Scimitar Court
Chapter #120 (Daughters of Imperial). Mary spent many hours
participating within these groups serving the community and sharing
her wisdom of love. She held the title of Worthy Matron in Stuttgart,
Germany Chapter #587 and Sierra Vista, AZ, Condon Chapter #12.

Mary was witty, funny and wise. She loved to read, sew and bake. She
was a very strong lady and always put her family first. Mary is survived
by her husband Simuel Shaw Jr of 59 years, her children: Simuel, Denise and Michael; her grandchildren: Mercedez (Tae), Khalil, Darius,
Ahmad and Kamau; nephew: Duane Jones and niece Aline Jones.
She was an phenomenal wife, mother and friend. She will be sorely
missed and this world will not be the same without her presence in it.
