Mary Beth (Gates) Fair

Mary Beth Fair
August 20, 1964 - December 23, 2024

Mary Beth (Gates) Fair, of Sierra Vista, AZ, went to be with Jesus on December 23, 2024, after a long battle with Melanoma cancer. Raised in Foxburg, PA, she was a 1982 graduate of Allegheny Clarion Valley High School.

She was a dedicated and loving wife and mother. She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband, Thomas J Fair of Sierra Vista, AZ; two children, Kassandra Anne Fair of St. Petersburg, FL and Thomas Charles Fair of Chicago, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles E Gates (Bunky) and Shirley (Page) Gates of Foxburg, PA. She was also preceded in death by her biological father, Ralph J Eckard of Columbia, TN and step mother, Cathy Eckard of Lewisburg, TN.

She had such a big heart. Her personality, eagerness to help, always taking care of others, making sure all the elderly and neighbors were taken care of, will be sorely missed.

Mary Beth loved to drive, crochet, do picture framing and sew. She loved being outside mowing grass, working in yards and decorating houses at Christmas for everyone in the neighborhood. She always had a project going on.

She is survived by her sisters, Bonnie (Chuck) Legvold of Oskaloosa, IA and Brenda (Ron) Sloan of Dubois, PA. Being adopted at birth, led her to find her birth family. She is also survived by her biological mother, Cleda Lufsey Hargis of New Braunfels, TX; brothers, James (Amy) Fair of San Antonio, TX and Jerry (Andrea) Fair of Sierra Vista, AZ. Plus many step siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins between both families.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Nancy J Brua, Animal Shelter in Sierra Vista or Border Animal Rescue of Southern AZ. She loved animals and even drove to Nebraska to adopt one.

A memorial service will be held at First Assembly of God, 840 N Lenzner Avenue, Sierra Vista, AZ on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 10 a.m.
