Marion Grace Alley, born on November 23, 1938, to Harold and Elizabeth Alger in Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, June 10, 2024. The second oldest of four children, Marion grew up alongside her siblings Elizabeth, Earl, and Joyce, forming close bonds that would last a lifetime.
In 1957, Marion met the love of her life, Lance Alley, and they married on November 28, 1958. Together, they built a beautiful family, welcoming four children: Lance II, Richard, Patrick, and Elizabeth. Marion’s love and dedication to her family were unwavering, and she found immense joy in being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her family expanded with 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, each of whom she cherished deeply.
Marion’s vibrant and outgoing personality was infectious. She was a beacon of creativity and passion, traits that shone brightly in both her personal and professional life. An entrepreneur at heart, she owned and operated a successful flooring company, Alley Carpet & Flooring, for over 30 years, demonstrating her remarkable business acumen and determination.
Marion’s legacy is one of love, creativity, and resilience. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, warmth, and spirited nature. She is deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her memory will forever remain in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and a love that will never fade.
Marion is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Lance Alley of Sierra Vista; her loving children Lance (Sarah), Richard, Patrick (Lolita), and Elizabeth (Bill); her siblings, Elizabeth, Earl, and Joyce; her grandchildren, Rachel, Andrew, Corissa, Darian, Lance III, Amanda, Josephine, Jason, Morgan, Alex, and Patricia; and her great-grandchildren, Addilyn, Leighton, Gracie, Riley, Sunny, Paisley, Francis, Mack, Rosalie, Clark, Joseph II, Harrison, Addison, and Callie.
