Margaret Elizabeth House
January 20, 1941 – January 25, 2026
Margaret Elizabeth House was born in Cortland, New York. She earned her Registered Nurse degree and began her nursing career in Syracuse, New York. In 1973, she married A. Russell House, and together they raised three successful daughters. In 1979, the family moved to Colorado, where Margaret continued to build a life centered on family, home, and meaningful connections.
Margaret and her husband later made their home in Sierra Vista, Arizona, where she lived for 26 years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, A. Russell House, who passed away on January 21, 2021.
Margaret is survived by her daughters: Christine Marshall (Jim), Kathleen Priest (Micah), and Rhonda Bray (Matt); her grandchildren: Benjamin, Charlie, Ryan, Sean, Summer, and Corey; and her loyal companion, her dog Huey.
Margaret was a wonderful storyteller and a gracious host. Her unexpected sense of humor kept those around her on the edge of their seats, eagerly awaiting the inevitable punch line. Her home was always warm and welcoming, and she took great pride in choosing just the right pieces to reflect her classic style. Designing her Christmas tree was an annual event and a cherished tradition, one that brought her great joy.
Margaret was a beautiful woman with bright blue eyes and a happy smile. She offered compliments freely and listened intently, making those around her feel seen and valued. Her kindness, warmth, and quiet elegance left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She will be missed daily and remembered always.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Thursday, February 5th at Saint Andrews Catholic Church in Sierra Vista.
