Marcia passed away peacefully 5 weeks before her 98th birthday.
She was born in Cisco, Texas to George and Jenny Smith. She and her husband John (deceased) were married in Valley Mills, Texas on April 12th, 1952.
Marcia received her BA in education and a masters and the University of Arizona in math. She served as a teacher for 34 years. She was a member of Sierra Vista Lions, Sierra Vista Retired Teachers, a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi, and belonged to Hummingbird Quilters.
She was an avid quilter and seamstress. Marcia was a world traveler.
Marcia is survived by her two daughters Sharon (Jerry Anderson) and Pamela (Randy Wombles); two granddaughters Marcia (Juan Vizcarra) and Paige Wombles. She had 4 great grandchildren Johnathan (Cynthia), Sergio (Sara), Jacob and Penelope. She had 4 great great grandchildren; Saint, Sol, Stassia and Evangeline.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers James and Georgie B.
