Luis Alfredo Valles

Luis A. Valles Age 92, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones on August 11, 2024. Luis was born on April 11, 1932, in Nogales, Sonora.

At 19, he moved to Superior, Arizona, where he met his lifelong partner, Justa. They married on March 4, 1954, and soon after, they made their home in Sierra Vista, Arizona where they raised three wonderful children.

Luis worked as a construction laborer for Mr. Fry, contributing to the development of Fry Town, which later became known as Sierra Vista. In 1963, Luis and Justa Valles founded the original ‘La Casita’ Mexican restaurant, which they successfully operated for three decades.

Luis was celebrated for his infectious laughter and exceptional sense of humor, always lighting up the room with his jokes and clever comments. As a devoted father and grandfather, he cherished sharing stories with his loved ones. He found joy in his shed, where he kept himself occupied by building and repairing various things.

Most importantly, he was deeply admired for his unwavering love and commitment to his beloved Justa.

Luis is survived by his wife, Justa Valles, with whom he shared 70 years of marriage, along with their three children: Louie, Pauline, and Belinda. He is also remembered by his four grandchildren—Daxton, Julio, Monique, and Amorette—and six great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome to attend the viewing at Hatfield Funeral Home on Thursday, August 15th, 2024, from 1 PM to 4 PM.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Andrews Catholic Church on Friday, August 23rd, 2024, at 10 AM.
