Lorenzo Fontes Sr.
August 19, 1934 - December 29, 2021

 Lorenzo Fontes Sr., 87, longtime resident of Sierra Vista, Arizona passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2021.

Dad’s passion was watching sports, but most interested in baseball. He coached Little League baseball in Sierra Vista for 14 years.

He always took pride in everything he did. Enjoyed working in his yard and being outdoors. He always had a big heart and would welcome anyone in his home.

Lorenzo was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie, daughter, Valentina Fontes, and daughter-in-law, Veronica Fontes.

He is survived by his children, Lorenzo Jr, Jerry, Letty (David) Thomas, Christy (Richard) Szczepanski, John, Roxanna (Dan) Slater, Martina (Bobby) Ochoa, Catalina (Greg) Bianco, Paul Fontes, Brandon Fontes, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at St Andrew’s Apostolic Church, 800 Taylor Dr., Saturday 15 January 2022 at noon. A Potluck reception will follow at 3:30 pm at the American Legion post 52, 12 East Theatre Dr.
