Kenneth L. Haynes

Ken was born March 3, 1944 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Kenneth Eugene Haynes and Bernice Donovan Haynes. He was the oldest of three sisters and one brother.

He married Jacquelyn M. Arnold on January 31, 1970. One son, Adam was born to them. Jacquelyn went to be with the Lord on July 9, 1988. On February 3, 1990 Ken married Merrie E. Hutchinson in Green River, Wyoming.

In Wyoming, Ken worked for many years for Union Pacific Resources and finished his career with Duke Energy. After work hours and on weekends he was kept busy with his small engine repair business. His hobbies were woodworking and snowmobiling when he had time.

After retiring Ken and Merrie moved to Sierra Vista in 2004 and have lived there for the last twenty-two years. In Arizona, Ken took up golfing again, after not picking up a golf club since his early twenties. He golfed five days a week and still had time for his household duties and volunteer work. For many years Ken performed security in the children's ministry at Calvary Chapel and volunteered serving meals at the Salvation Army. He also enjoyed reading books by Jonathan Cahn and other Christian authors and watching western movies and golf on the television.

Ken was proceeded in death by his parents and his four siblings, Kay, Charles, Dale and Norrie. He is survived by one son, Adam Haynes of Tennessee, a daughter, Stephanie Nichols of Michigan, one grandson, William Nichol of Indiana, a granddaughter, Jackie Haynes of Nevada, a granddaughter Hope and her husband, Justin McLain, of Michigan and a great-grandson to be born in November.

Ken was blessed with a wonderful life and extended family.

The last couple of years he had health issues but he never complained. He loved the Lord and was looking forward to being with Him forever.
