Judy Lee (Tipsword) Hagemeier

Judy Hagemeier, 60, from Sierra Vista, passed away on Christmas morning 2021.  Born in Alton, Illinois on October 21, 1961, she grew up in central Arizona and eventually settled in Sierra Vista with her husband Verne.  During this time, she joined the Army Reserve and earned her bachelors in International Business.  Judy put her entrepreneurial spirit to work when she started her own handyman business in the 1990s and later opened a candy kiosk at the mall in the early 2000s.  

Judy loved to create.  She had a keen talent for craftsmanship.  She was often inspired to learn new skills and start new projects.  She was especially proud of her artistic tile work.  Judy was also extraordinary with a sewing machine and with crochet, creating clothes, pillowcases and dolls for her grandchildren. Her creative flair could also be found in the kitchen.  She enjoyed cooking from the heart, baking fancy cakes for birthdays, a variety of pies for Thanksgiving, and hundreds of cookies for Christmas.  Her children continue these traditions using recipes Judy perfected over the years.  

Judy wore many roles in her lifetime, but she was especially dedicated to being a mom, teaching her children her many skills and helping them in their time of need.  She is loved and missed dearly. 

Judy is survived by her husband, Verne Hagemeier; four children, Jennifer Jarboe, Jamie Navarro, Justin Jarboe and Joseph Hagemeier; three stepchildren, Stephen Hagemeier, Amy Hagemeier and Esther Hagemeier; four grandchildren; two sisters and one brother. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
