Jon Albert Trask
August 16, 1950 - November 23, 2023
Jon Albert Trask, 73, of Huachuca City, AZ, passed away on November 23, 2023. Jon was born in Illinois on August 16, 1950 to the late Albert Trask and Eleanor (Spudich) Trask.
Jon had a dry sense of humor that took some getting used to, but he was a generous man and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a deep commitment to his family and cherished his relationships with his loved ones.
Jon is survived by his sister Jacqueline (Richard) Johnson of North Haven, CT and his daughters, Missy (David) Shelton of Carlinville, IL, and Patricia Wallace of Joliet, IL. He was a loving grandfather to Ashlee (Herve) Munyakazi, Austin Shelton, Justin Wallace, and Quentin (Parker) Wallace. He was also proud of his three great-grandchildren and was excitedly awaiting the arrival of his fourth. Jon had several nieces and a nephew that he cherished as well. Jon was preceded in death by his son, John Albert Michael Trask.
Jon attended Gillespie High School and furthered his education at Lewis and Clark Community College and Cochise College. He proudly served in the Army for over 6 years, demonstrating his dedication and commitment to his country.
Per his wishes, Jon will be cremated and a private graveside service will be held at Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery. The funeral arrangements are being handled by Hatfield Funeral Home in Sierra Vista, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Build Benld, Jon's childhood home, and the Sierra Vista Library. These organizations held a special place in his heart.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Jon's family and friends during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.
