John Trujillo Obituary

John Castillo Trujillo
February 7, 1933 ~ June 14, 2025

John C. Trujillo, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and longtime Sierra Vista resident, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2025.

John was born on Feb. 7, 1933 in Benson, Arizona to Juan & Enedina Trujillo.  In 1952, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served aboard the destroyer escort  USS Eaton during the Korean War.  In 1954, he married Anita Guerra and together they raised their family in Sierra Vista. While working as a civil servant at Ft. Huachuca, he obtained the rank of Chief of Security Police. John was an active & faithful member of St.  Andrews the Apostle Catholic Church and spent many years as a Little League coach. He was a dedicated husband and father, never missing ball games, bull rides & family events. He was happiest when his family was together & around him and he especially loved to make children smile.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Anita, in 2019. He is survived by his daughter, Anna, his sons Arthur (Cheryl) & John (Olivia), his grandchildren Amanda, Kristen (Sarah), John (Candace), Lina (Okoye), Jordan (Brandon), Taylor (Jeff), Daniel (Candice) and 10 great-grandchildren.

The Trujillo family would like to thank Imelda Bear & staff and Casa de la Paz Hospice for the loving attention they all provided to our dad during the time he was under their care.

A funeral mass will be held at a later date followed by a private interment. Details to follow.
