John Marcus Leamer

John Marcus Leamer was an Army brat, born in Germany to Ingrid and Gary Leamer, on January 21, 1977. He spent the majority of his life in Arizona, graduating from Catalina High School in Tucson in 1996.

John is a much loved older brother to Nicole - he taught her how to ride a bike, play Nintendo, and convince their parents to allow them just one more pet. He often told her he was proud of her - and she is proud of him. He had a soft heart for animals, from beloved childhood dogs Maggie and Dyna, to parrots, exotic fish, and his faithful dog Pepper.

Gifted with an inquisitive mind, from cars to computers, if it interested him - he would learn everything about a subject. John was a patient, faithful, and forgiving friend who always wanted to help, in ways big and small. He often sought out nature, the mountains, and quiet, and dreamed of sailing and flying.

He passed away unexpectedly April 9th, 2025.

He is so loved, and survived by his mother, Ingrid Leamer; father Gary Leamer, stepmother Barbara Leamer; sister Nicole Gallaway; brother-in-law Shayne Gallaway; step-sister Nicole Hewson (Russ), and extended family. John, may you be in true peace, filled with joy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Southern Arizona Humane Society.
