John Braccht Jr. passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 in Georgia. He was born on Saturday, January 16, 1943 in Miles City, Montana. 

John is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Joyce; his son, Michael and daughter, Michelle; and his beloved fur baby, "Charlie."

He is preceded in death by his loving parents, John and Betty Bracht.

John served honorably in the Navy for six years including service in Vietnam.

He died the way he lived, with an adventurous spirit. He passed peacefully of a heart attack while exploring with his dog.

John's love of the outdoors was a big part of his life. He enjoyed exploring new places on foot but also in his ATV. He enjoyed shooting and the love of golf. 

He was an avid reader both for fun and for his own personal growth. 

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Hatfield Funeral Home on Friday, October 24, 2025 from 1- 2pm. A celebration of John's life will begin at 2pm with Pastor Norm Strom officiating services.
