Irene Mary Hoffman age 90 - hometown of Sierra Vista, AZ has passed away peacefully on February 18th, 2026. Her favorite nickname was Kindly MZ Hoffman or Renee and her life was full of accomplishments, world travel experiences and career achievements. Born on November 19th, 1935, in Philadelphia, Pa. to Henrietta and Joseph Bradley of Yeadon, Pa. Irene attended Yeadon High School in Yeadon, Pa. Her favorite interests were outdoor contact sports, Equestrian riding and a strong passion for on stage acting and singing. Irene was an accomplished beautiful singer with the experienced ability to distinguish a singer’s voice parts, range and classification. MZ Hoffman was a member of the Sierra Vista Elks Club and the American Legion. She loved the US Army and made many donations to the Wounded Warriors Foundation for many years.
Irene was a civil service employee at Fort Huachuca, AZ back in the late 70’s through the early 80’s.
MZ Hoffmans’ career spanned over 30 years with the Us Army civil service. Her final career highlight was in Darmstadt, Germany. Renee was manager of the daily operations of the Darmstadt Kaserne for over 15 years. She could speak the German language without difficulty enjoyed traveling all over Europe and the of course the Holy Land of Jerusalem.
She was married to George Hoffman retired Us Army civil service who is deceased. Her son Robert H. Cherry is deceased. Current family members include Edwin Lowther (son), Nancy C. Quintero (daughter).
The date, time of final funeral service will occur at St. Andrews Catholic Church, Sierra Vista, TBD. Any donations, charitable contributions and condolences should be presented to the St. Andrews Church.
