Hope Elizabeth (Pierson) Mitchell

Hope Elizabeth Mitchell 
March 27, 1951 – November 6, 2023

Hope left this world for the next on 6 November 2023 to be with her loving family that has passed before her.  She was welcomed by and now enjoys the pleasured company of our cherished daughter Megan Colleen, her mother and father Mary Louise and Toby William Pierson, her grandmother and grandfather Susie and Tom Hannigan, her brother David, her sister Pamela, and her cousin Sharon.

Hope goes before us with no goodbye or farewell but till the time when loving family and friends meet again in the next life.

A walk around the block with a neighbor resulting in an unplanned marriage proposal and a puzzling response of "Mohammed Ali in the fifth" started Hope and Dennis on a glorious journey from which they never looked back.

She took the hand of a stranger and began an everlasting romance that led her to that which she loved most in life – motherhood, Hope embraced and enjoyed being a Mom and a Grandma.  Her greatest legacy are her children and their children.  Those who enjoyed her presence in their lives - her children and grandchildren – hugging and kissing them, reading together, baking cookies while flour and sugar covered the countertop and kitchen floor – making not a mess but creating wonderous memories, enjoying the happy refrain of children's laughter, sharing moments to cherish and always remember.

We, family and friends, are broken hearted that Hope's earthly journey has ended but we are happy with her, and our pain filled hearts will in time be filled with the joy that comes from knowing we will share her pleasured company when our earthly journey comes to its end, and we meet again.

Love and Joy are her talents that she shared with those whom she met.  Hope taught us through her actions that unconditional love is the binding force that enables a peaceful harmonious joyous life.  She naturally possessed this love and shared it with us.  It was her lasting gift to her family and friends.

Till we meet again my love – Still the One.
