Hershell E McCraw

Hershell E. McCraw passed away October 25,2023. Gene was born in North Carolina.

He was in the Air Force from September 16, 1954 to September 6, 1958. Gene and Raquel got married on October 19, 1957. They just celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary. Gene and his family moved to Sierra Vista in August of 1967 where he worked for Civil Service until his retirement in 1990.

Gene's greatest passion was golf, fishing & hunting.He golfed until the age of 85 several times a week.

Gene is preceded in death by his sons Robert B. McCraw and Michael E McCraw.

He is survived by his wife Raquel McCraw; daughter Judi Mancini (Husband Lee Mancini); four Loving Grandchildren Chris McCraw, Amanda Mancini, Nicole McCraw and Ryan Mancini; three Beautiful Great Granddaughters Madelynn, Ayah and Ameena.

Our family is forever grateful for Valor Hospice caregivers Nicole, Gabby and Chanae. Also, Theresa Malone of Vida Feliz Care Agency was very caring for Gene and making sure he was comfortable and checking in with the family to see if there was anything else she could do to help. Thank you all for being the most kindest and caring Angels during our time of need for keeping Gene comfortable.

The family held a private service per Gene's request.
