Gordon "Gordy" Blaskowsky was born August 18, 1936 in Leavenworth, Washington. He passed away, peacefully in his sleep, on November 24, 2024. He blessed us with 88 wonderful years.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife, Mi Son, his sister Jan Whiting, his children Linda, Rob, Cliff, Erin, Jeffrey, 5 grandchildren (and one on the way) and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Aaron and Maxine and his first wife, Toshiko.
Gordon was well known in his hometown for being a multi-sport athlete and working multiple jobs. One specifically was delivering mail before school. Many of his accomplishments and activities were highlighted in the local newspaper.
He then served in the Army for four years and a received a good conduct medal. After serving in the military, he worked as a civil servant for over 40 years, which allowed him to travel all over the world.
Gordon is well known for his love of sports, golf and baseball specifically. He was an avid supporter of local teams like the Diamondbacks and University of Arizona Wildcats, but also his home state’s Washington Huskies. He also loved being a part of the church and having a church family. We know now he is in Christ’s loving arms and look forward to seeing him again.
