Chuck was a strong and loving soul, passed away on March 31, 2025 at the age of 92. He was born in Long Beach, CA.
Chuck spent 20+ years in the Army serving in Korea and Viet Nam.
He was an active member in many fraternal organizations: MasonicLodge in Sierra Vista, Sabbar Shrine where he was in the Clown unit, Eastern Star, Amaranth, and Lions Club.
He leaves behind his daughter, Toni Brouillard (John), son, Thomas Fortner (Tanya), grandchildren Victoria Fortner (PA), Jacob Fortner (AZ), Kyle Thompson (AZ), Nicholas Crowley and Christiana Crowley (TX), niece Leslee Holt (Del), great nephew Richard Holt (Tracy).
Charles is preceded in death by his loving wife, Emma Fortner who he has now been loving reunited with in the heavens.
Services will be held on April 9, 2025 at 10:00AM at Faith Presbyterian Church, 2053 E. Choctaw Dr., Sierra Vista, AZ, followed by full military honors at VA Cemetery at 12:00PM, 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Ft. Huachuca, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
