Eloise Fowlkes
November 25, 1935 - January 11, 2022
Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
~ Ecclesiastes 12:7 KJV
Eloise Fowlkes was born on November 25, 1935 in Meherrin, Virginia. She moved to Sierra Vista in 2014 where she went to sleep on January 11, 2022. She touched the lives of many people in her life's journey with her smile and generosity. Her faith in God never wavered. She prayed and read her bible diligently, sang her favorite hymns and kept her trademark sense of humor.
She leave to cherish her memories: four daughters, Margaret Adams of Sierra Vista, Jamillah Muhammad of Sierra Vista, Sandi Milner of Philadelphia, and Calische Gully-Foy of Philadelphia; two sons, Carlton Cox of Philadelphia and Gary D. Gully of Philadelphia; and her devoted brother, Randolph Scott of Newark, New Jersey.
Eloise is predeceased by her loving sisters, Dorothy Irving formerly of Newark and Juanita McFarland formerly of Newark; grandson, Dorian S. Rutherford of formerly of Sierra Vista, and granddaughter, Indyia J. Davis of Philadelphia.
Eloise will forever be remembered by her treasured host of grandchildren, great-grand children, and countless other family and friends whom were blessed to have known her. As well as her favorite pets, Mr. Jai (toy poodle) whom she loving called "J-Boy'" and Sydney (feline) who she often would say "Sydney, what are you doing?"
There are no services scheduled at this time. The family would like to express their gratitude for the love and support they have received from family, friends, and their church family.
