Edward James Stuart, 92, of Sierra Vista, Arizona, passed away on March 17, 2026.
Born on June 17, 1933, in Alamo, Texas, Edward was the beloved son of Earl Stuart Sr. and Frankie Jane Stuart. He lived a life defined by service, strength, and devotion to his family and country.
Ed proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years and was a Korean War veteran. After returning from the war, he continued his commitment to the Marines as a drill instructor at Camp Pendleton. A 100% disabled veteran, Ed carried his duty with quiet honor and resilience throughout his life.
On April 17, 1957, Ed married the love of his life, Mary Lou Stuart. They shared a devoted and enduring marriage and would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary next month.
Ed found great joy in the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, and camping, with a passion for gardening and building. He was known for his hardworking spirit, steady presence, and the deep love he had for his family.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Lou Stuart; his children, Edward Stuart Jr. (Lily), Randy Stuart, and Darlene Stuart; as well as seven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Stuart Sr. and Frankie Jane Stuart; his brother, Earl Stuart Jr.; and his sister, Shirley Harding.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hatfield Funeral Home, 830 South Highway 92, Sierra Vista, Arizona. Funeral services will take place on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 9:30 AM at the Hatfield Funeral Home. Followed by the committal with military honors at 12 Noon at the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, Arizona.
Edward James Stuart will be remembered for his courage, dedication, and the lasting legacy of love he leaves behind.
