Sierra Vista-Edward J. Rice, 90, of Sierra Vista died Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Canyon Vista Medical Center. Edward, son of the late Edward J. and Anna M. (Beaudoin) Rice was born in Superior, Wisconsin on June 18, 1934.

Edward has resided in Sierra Vista for the past 42 years and was a communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church. Edward was the oldest member of the Sierra Vista Rod and Gun Club.

Edward served his country for 30 years with the United States Army during Vietnam and attained the rank of Master Sergeant.

He is survived by his wife; Tae Soon (Song) Rice; a son, Robert G. Rice; two daughters, Maria Ann Rice and Laura Jill Wallace; a brother, James Rice; two son-in-laws, Anthony and Ben; seven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a niece, Jennifer; and a nephew, Jeff; along with many friends.

Family and friends are asked to meet on Friday, July 12, 2024 at St Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 800 Taylor Street, Sierra Vista for the Recitation of the Rosary at 10:00 am followed by  Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am.

Military Honors will be held at the church at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass.

Inurnment will follow in the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista at 12:00 noon.
