Donald “Don” Wiggins Obituary

It is with deep sadness that the family of Donald F. Wiggins, 81, of Double Adobe, announces his passing on March 8, 2026. Don left this world surrounded by the love of family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Born on December 9, 1944, in Safford, AZ, Don was the beloved son of Frank and Dorothy Wiggins. From an early age, he was known for his kindness, humor, beautiful smile and generosity, traits that remained with him throughout his life.

Don proudly served his country for seven years in the Army/National Guard and was a Safford City Police Officer and Graham County Sheriff's Deputy. In addition to his work in law enforcement, Don was a boilermaker welder, a Maintenance Foreman, a certified Courtroom Bailiff, finally retiring in 2007 from the Bisbee Douglas International Airport, Cochise County.

Don spent his life dedicated to the Lord, family, and community. Don was loved and will be remembered fondly by the people who knew him. Don is lovingly remembered by his wife, Grace, his children Christie, Michael, Damian (Dan), Alaina (Jeff) and Tyler, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, siblings Linda Taylor and Jimmy Wiggins.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Dorothy Wiggins, and his mother and father-in-law, Richard and Amanda Jimenez.

A celebration of life for family and friends to gather and honor Don will be held at a later date and time. Don's wishes were to be interred at the Southern Arizona Veterans Cemetery in Sierra Vista, Arizona, which will be honored at that time.

Don will be forever loved, always remembered, and deeply missed. Go forth from this world knowing that you are loved beyond measure, Don...fly high with the angels.
