Debra Ennist Obituary

Debra Kay Ennist's Story
1952 – 2026

Debra Kay Ennist, 73, of Hereford Arizona passed away on January 7, 2026, after a brief illness in Tucson, Arizona.

Born on June 28, 1952, in Sioux City, Iowa, Debbie was the daughter of Noelene and Marvin Benson. She grew up alongside her siblings Ronald, Robert and Rebecca. Her early years in Iowa laid the foundation for a life marked by dedication to family and personal achievement. Debbie pursued higher education with determination and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. She was a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Arizona. Her academic accomplishments reflected her commitment to learning and professional growth.

She shared her life with her beloved husband of 50 years, Bill Ennist. Together they raised a family that brought her immense joy and pride. Debra was a devoted mother to Christopher Ennist [Valerie Ennist, wife and cherished grandchildren, Michael, Grace, Brock and Albert]; Daniel Ennist [beloved grandchildren Abby, Lucy and Brynn]; Paula Ennist  [treasured grandchildren Connor, Nathaniel, Madilyn and Riley]; and Timothy Ennist. Her love for children extended beyond motherhood—it was a defining passion throughout her life. Debbie is also remembered by her brother Robert Benson and wife Donna Benson. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, Noelene and Marvin Benson; her brother Ronald Benson; and her sister Rebecca Benson.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her quiet and reverent legacy bring comfort and peace to all who mourn her passing. A Service honoring her memory will be held on January 15, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Thunder Mountain Church, 4300 East Golden Acres Dr., Sierra Vista, Arizona.
