David L. Waldmann, 90, died peacefully Tuesday, May 20, 2025, surrounded by family at his home. David, the son of the late Thomas A. and Anna M. (Ptacnik) Waldmann was born in Ord, Nebraska on January 17, 1935.

David was raised on a farm near Comstock, Nebraska and graduated from Comstock High School.

David served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired as a Chief Warrant Officer Grade Three with 20 years of service.

He resided in Hereford for 30 years and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his wives Genevie, Maria and Tanya Waldmann.

He is survived by his children,  David S. Waldmann (Caryn), Grant Loban (Mary), Doris Persons (Tom), Donna Cruz (Ariel), Ann Ferguson, Lee Loban, Monica Boehme (Matt), and Thomas A. Waldmann (Sandra), 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours for David will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 2 to 5 PM at Hatfield Funeral Home 830 South Highway 92, Sierra Vista. Recitation of the Rosary will be held Sunday at 4:30 PM at the funeral home.

Family and friends are asked to meet on Monday, June 2, 2025 at 9:45 am at our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church 1425 East Yaqui Street, Sierra Vista for Military Honors for David at 10:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will follow Military Honors.

Burial will be private in the Southern Arizona Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Sierra Vista, Arizona.

David's family requests no flowers please!!! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to All Saints Catholic School, 1425 W Yaqui St, Sierra Vista, AZ 85650.
