David C Thomas, son of Glenn Merrill and Eleanor Louise Thomas (Johnston), passed away peacefully in his sleep the evening of April 19th, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Thalia Brown. He is survived by his wife Letty, sons Lorenzo Thomas and Robert Johnson, and daughter Annedrea Thomas, brothers Wesley and Robert Thomas; as well as grandchildren David Jose (DJ Thomas, Jayden Gazard, Shaina and Marcus Johnson and extended family and friends.

A 22 year veteran of the United States Army, David set the standards for soldiers to follow throughout his exemplary career as an NCO. Those values not only shone through during his military career, but in every facet of his life. It was with those values that he built a life full of love for his family.

David got immense joy from seeing his children and grandchildren grow into people he was proud of, and the cooking of his beloved wife. His memory will serve as a reminder that a life in service to others is a worthy life, and we will miss him forever.
