David Alan Ford, 73 of Hereford, Arizona, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024 at home with those he loved by his side.
David was born in Fort Worth, Texas on December 6, 1950 to the late Homer Ford and Minnie Hill. He was raised in Herndon, Kansas and Waterloo, Iowa and graduated with his GED in the Army in 1969. David also attended college at The University of Northern Iowa. David served his country in the United States Army for 10 years. During his years of service David received numerous awards during long and distinguished career. Not only did he serve his country but he also served his community by working with the Warrior Healing Center in SierraVista. He was a Deputy Sheriff for Thomas County Kansas for 8 years. David's final act of service to his community was working as a security guard for the Canyon Vista Medical Center, where he retired after 8 years.

On, July 3rd 1982 in Waterloo Iowa, David married Peggy Ann Ford (Christopherson). To this union the couple had two children, Terrence and Michelle. Some of their favorite family memories include family get togethers especially holidays.
David is survived by his loving wife, of 41 years, Peggy Ann Ford; children, Terrence (Jennifer) Ford and Michelle (Mark) Morris; siblings,one brother and tow sister; six grandchildren and one great grandson; and many nephews and nieces.
Committal services with military honors, will be held on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 12 Noon, at the Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, located at 1300 Buffalo Soldier Trail, Sierra Vista, Arizona 85635. Those who wish to attend the services should arrive to the cemetery's staging area by 11:30 AM.
