Dave Kremer, 93, has laid down his working tools on 17 March 2026, passing away peacefully after a long battle with lymphocytic leukemia and pneumonia. Dave was born to Clinton F. Kremer and Amy B (Ballard) Kremer, 26 Feb 1933, in Inguadona (Remer) MN.
After graduating Brainerd High School, he enlisted in the USAF, Apr 1951 at Minneapolis, MN as an Aircraft Mechanic on KB-29/KC-97, later becoming a Flight Engineer on C-124's/C-141's. Notably served as an aircraft maintenance on WB-29/RB-29's in direct support of JTF-7's "Operation Castle" on Bikini, Eniwetok, March 1954, also as the flight engineer on the C-141 that flew Apollo 10's crew from Pago Pago, Am. Samoa to the United States, May 1969. TSgt Kremer earning an Air Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal, retiring from Norton AFB, June 1971, then moved to Brainerd, MN.
Dave married Wanda K Mooney of Bristol, NH in May 1958, and had 2 sons Paul R Kremer and Peter S Kremer.
Having enough of the Minnesota winters, Dave and Wanda moved to sunny and warm Sierra Vista, AZ in 1997.
Dave was a devoted Master Mason of 69 years, attaining 32nd degree, and Past Master of the Aurora Lodge #100, Brainerd MN, and the King Solomon Lodge No 5, Tombstone AZ. He was active in the Shiners and the United Methodist Church.
Dave was preceded by his parents, loving wife of 63 years, Wanda Kremer, Son, Paul R Kremer, and siblings Peter H Kremer, and Edith L Kildow. He is survived by his brother Carl A Kremer, sisters Viola S Gerrels, and Glenyce A Sheetz, and son Peter S Kremer of Sierra Vista, AZ. He was loved by his 8 Grandchildren, and 8 Great Grandchildren.
He will be laid to rest at the Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Columbarium alongside his wife, Wanda.
