Joe was born and grew up in Sierra Vista, AZ. As a young man he moved to Phoenix, AZ and married a young woman named Faith. They had two sons together named Ezekiel Joseph Vega and Isaiah Daniel Vega. At this time he started his business, AZ Chevs- though he was always into cars and the car business even as a youngster. He was an extraordinary dad and very much a family man. His family meant the world to him. His love for his mother, Amalia Henderson, was so great- he was there for her throughout her life and beside her when she passed.

He was very close with many of his siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. A few decades after having moved to Phoenix, Joe moved back to Sierra Vista where he spent the rest of his days. Joe spent his time working on his business and home renovations. He was such a kind person. Generous with his time, wisdom, and resources. He truly would help anyone he could in anyway possible. Joe had the best sense of humor and could make the best of any situation. To say he will be missed dearly would be an understatement.

He is survived by his children, Ezekiel (28), Isaiah (24), his ex-wife Faith, his siblings- Frank, Jerry, Betty, Alex, David, and Norma, his half-siblings Andrew, Lisette, and Yvette, his nephews and nieces- Brandie, Tony, Xavier, Cassie, Tiffany, Jessica, Jerry Jr, Crystal, Adam, Jess, Emily, Ernie, Carlos, Manny, Angie, Ray, Laura, Jesus, and Jose. He is reunited in Heaven with his mom, dad, brother Willie, niece Ursula, and nephew Stefan.

He had so many friends and loved them all. Joe was a believer and had Jesus in his heart as Lord and Savior. I believe he has now heard "well done good and faithful servant".
