Daniel Scott Pitzlin, 59. Dan was born on October 23, 1963 in Novato, California. He died on September 9, 2023 in Hereford, Arizona. He was the fourth son born to Kenneth F. Pitzlin and the late Hazel Marie Mennis Pitzlin. Dan accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a teenager and reconfirmed his faith several times as an adult.

Dan attended schools in Washington, North Dakota, and Arizona, graduating from Buena High School in 1981. As a teen he worked in fast food. As an adult he spent a few years in Colorado working in auto body repair, painting and as a AAA tow truck driver. After returning to Arizona, he was very briefly a Realtor prior to serving as and retiring as an Arizona Correctional Officer. He was an outdoorsman and life member of the Rock Mountain Elk Foundation.

Dan is survived by his father, his beloved step-mother Donna R. Pitzlin, two brothers; Gregory A. Pitzlin and Wayne B. Pitzlin (Maria). He is also survived by a son Cody Allen Pitzlin and a very special friend and cousin Joseph E. Pitzlin. Dan was preceded in death by his mother and brother Michael K. Pitzlin. No services are currently planned.

He was loved and he is missed.
