Daniel Mark Drake

Daniel Mark Drake, 52 passed away July 24, 2023 of a sudden illness at the age of 52. He was born in Tucson, Arizona on August 7, 1970, and was a lifelong resident of Bisbee, Arizona. He graduated from Bisbee High School in 1988 and Cochise College in 1990. He married Rogene Michelle Friedrich in October of 1993 and began working for the Arizona Department of Corrections in December the same year. After 24 years of service in the prison system, he retired with the rank of Lieutenant.

Time with his children and grandchildren was important to Daniel, and he was known as Papa Drac. He enjoyed metal work, target shooting, and had a delightfully dry sense of humor. After retirement, he spent considerable time providing service to others. He was a man of his word and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Rogene; children, Alexandra, Robert (Jay); grandchildren, Ezekiel, Elijah, and Elliot; parents, John and Linda; siblings, Jeanette, John (Mary), Robert (Katherine), Alan (Julie), Samuel (Shannon), Jessica (John Owen), Benjamin (Caitlyn), Jackilyn, Rebecca, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel, 611 W Melody Ln, Bisbee, Arizona.
