Huachuca City- Cruz R. Mora, 85 of Huachuca City died early Sunday morning, August 29, 2021 surrounded by his family at his home.

Cruz, son of the late Jose and Dolores (Renteria) Mora was born in Hatchita, New Mexico on September 14, 1935. He was raised in Arizona and has resided in Huachuca City for the past 23 years.

Cruz served his country during the Korean War with the United States Army. He later worked for many years and several ranches as a cowboy.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Jovita C. (Moreno) Mora; seven sons: Ernesto, Marco, Samuel, Lorenzo, Cruz, Jr., Lorenzo, Jr., and Johnny Joe Mora; three daughters Maritona Holguin, Jovita Madero, and Monica Mora; several brothers and sisters; 28 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours for Cruz will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 2 to 5 pm at the Hatfield Funeral Home, 830 South Highway 92, Sierra Vista.

Military Honors for Cruz will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday evening.
