Fear not, for I am with God

James served in the United States Army with distinction for 29 years. He received a Bronze Star, Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm, served as Commander of the 52nd Signal Battalion, Stuttgart Germany, as well as serving as Adjutant General for the US Army G3 operations at Fort Huachuca. Although he earned many merits in service, he is revered the most by those he has raised. He is survived by son’s Patrick Carolan(Theresa), Michael Carolan, daughter’s Peggy Bingham(Lance),Marry Wood; step-children Mark Billings(Lydia) Kellie Keller(Eric); 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by us, his family, and the many friends and teammates he made along the way.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 07, 2024, at Hatfield Funeral Home 830 S. Hwy 92 Sierra Vista, Ariz.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to a reputable service that aids veterans honestly, with integrity, and with compassion.
Interment will be private at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.
