Colonel Allen Franklin Rossow

Allen Franklin Rossow, 84, of Sierra Vista, AZ, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024.
Allen was a 30 year veteran of the United States Army, retiring as a full Colonel. Allen attended the US Army Officer's Candidate School, Air War College,and Command & General Staff College. Allen was in military intelligence throughout his career and served overseas in Germany, Korea, and Vietnam. He was inducted into the Arizona Veterans' Hall of Fame in 2017. Allen was a member of MOAA and served as President at the local and state level for several years.
Allen volunteered his time with the City of Sierra Vista in Alternative dispute resolution and on the Sierra Vista Environmental planning committee. He also restarted the Ft. Huachuca Retiree Council.
Allen is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lucinda, one daughter, one son, one step-daughter, one step-son, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one cousin.
Services with military honors will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11am at the Southern Arizona Veterans' Memorial Cemetery. Those who wish to attended should plan to arrive in the staging area by 1030am.
